Extended Day On-Site Administrator/Supervisor


Extended Day On-Site Administrator/Supervisor:  $16.00/hour - $18.00/hr,
40 hours/week

Full-time non-teaching position.  Responsible for day-to-day administration and supervisor of Extended Day (i.e., full-day) classrooms.  Leadership and administrative duties required for effective day-to-day operation of Center.

QUALIFICATIONS:  EEC Director I qualified, with satisfactory completion of 2-3 CEUs in Child Care Administration.  Degree in ECE or related field.  Working knowledge of Head Start standards and EEC regulatory requirements.  Five years, successful day-to-day supervisory experience in full-day preschool classroom setting.  Proven ability to train staff effectively in all aspects of full-day programming.  NAEYC program experience preffered.

CORI and DCF background check required.

Housing Specialist for the Mobile Homeless Outreach Team


Tri-CAP is seeking a Housing Specialist for the Mobile Homeless Team.  The Housing Specialist works with two other team members who provide services to homeless individuals.  These services include providing outreach, emergency assistance, case management and specialized services.  The Housing Specialist is responsible for helping homeless individuals secure emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent housing.  The Housing Specialist assists homeless individuals in accessing both subsidized and private housing resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:   BA or equivalent experience and one year minimum experience in human services, preferably with the homeless.  Familiarity with housing resources.  Excellent crisis intervention, assessment and case management skills.  Attention to detail, particularly in record keeping.  Empathy and commitment to client empowerment.  Bilingual ability a plus.  Car a plus.

HOURS:  40 hours/week, mid 20's with excellent benefits.

Assistant House Manager


Tri-City Community Action Program, Inc. (Tri-CAP) is a multi-service, anti-poverty agency serving Malden, Medford, Everett and surrounding communities.  Founded in 1978, Tri-CAP is organized to prevent the development and continuation of conditions which cause poverty or occur as a result of people living in poverty.  Tri-CAP works through three agency divisions - Energy, Children and Family Services, and Advocacy and Community Services - to help low-income people meet their essential needs and take action to improve their lives.

Tri-CAP's Advocacy and Community Services Division is seeking an Assistant House Manager.  Part time-:  24 hours/week (Saturday 12 hrs/Sunday 12 hrs) for its Washington Street Single Room Occupancy Residence.

The Assistant Manager provides eekend staff presence at permanent housing program at Tri-CAP owned single-room occupance (rooming house) with the overall shift responsibility for house operations, and property oversight, creating a safe and respectful environment for low-income men and women to achieve and maintain long-term independent living.  The Assistant House Manager will assist with overseeing volunteers and contractors as may be required. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Significant experience performing similar, related duties in a residential program setting; background in Social Work preferred; must be team player; possess knowledge of low-income community. CORI and DCF Background Check required. AAC/EOE Bilingual/bicultural candidates encouraged to apply.
 
HOURS:  8:00A.M. to 8:00 P.M.  $10.00/hr.  Eligible for benefits.

Extended Day Lead Teacher

Extended Day Lead Teacher:  $15.00/hour for Associate degree, 17.00/hour for Bachelor degree. 40 hrs./wk. Some afternoon closings may be required with additional $1.00/hour afternoon differential pay.

Plan and implement curriculum in supportive teaching environment. EEC certification required. Degree (Associate or higher) in ECE or related field required. Should have knowledge of NAEYC Accreditation and/or EEC licensing.

CORI and DCF background check required.
