Housing Resource Center (HRC)

Under the 2009-10 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) (a/k/a Stimulus money) the MA Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) was able to fund the following Tri-CAP special initiative.

Program Description

The Housing Resource Center (HRC) serves both individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. The HRC is designed to prevent homelessness or in cases where people lost housing, the goal is to find them housing as quickly as possible — the Homeless Prevention Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP). HRC staff provide case management and other support services. The program will operate from September 2009 through August 2010.

Eligibility

  • Tri-City resident
  • Income no more than 200% of the poverty level
  • Homeless or at risk of homelessness, as determined in a face-to-face interview with and assessment by staff
