English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)


Under the 2009-10 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) (a/k/a Stimulus money) the MA Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) was able to fund the following Tri-CAP special initiative.

Program Description

Two of the three ESOL classes will run from September 2009 through June 2010; a summer class will operate from June through August 2010. The goal is to increase participants’ employability through enhanced English language skills. The program will serve 45 individuals, some of whom may not be literate in their primary language.
