Advocacy and Community Services helps families and individuals with food, shelter, clothing, housing, HIV/AIDS services, legal assistance and asset development. ACS provides direct services and advocates for resources and policies to meet unmet community needs. Programs are:
Housing and Homelessness: If you are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, ACS can help. Programs include:
- Mobile Homeless Outreach Team (MHOT), transitional housing and permanent housing for homeless individuals;
- Targeted housing services for people with HIV/AIDS;
- Homelessness prevention services;
- Housing advocacy to maintain and increase affordable housing resources in the Tri-Cities
Income: Tri-CAP offers financial literacy classes, free tax preparation, and Individual Development Accounts.
Food: Tri-CAP has updated information on emergency food resources and can help you apply for SNAP (Food Stamps).
Clothing: Clean used clothing and coats are available in the Clothing Room.
Legal: Tri-CAP provides free legal services on matters including housing, family law, and other civil issues.
