Families are eligible for Head Start if:
- Family is receiving public assistance or SSI
- Family is homeless
- Child is in foster care
- Family has income below the amounts shown below:
Ninety percent of families served by Head Start must have incomes at or below 100% of the federal poverty line. Ten percent of Head Start slots go to families whose income is between 100-130% of the federal poverty guidelines.
