BPJAMSOSTEK supports VP’s project to develop the Public Service Mall

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Workers’ Social Security Agency (BPJAMSOSTEK) has pledged to collaborate to accelerate the development of Public Service Shopping Centers (MPPs) across Indonesia in line with Vice President Ma’ruf’s plan Amin.

“BPJAMSOSTEK also provides public service. Our focus aligns with government expectation, which presents easier, faster and more comprehensive service,” BPJAMSOSTEK Chairman and CEO Anggoro Eko Cahyo said Thursday.

Previously, 17 institutions, including BPJAMSOSTEK, signed a memorandum of understanding on accelerating the implementation of the MPP on Tuesday.

Participants in the event included Amin as well as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD as Acting Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms (PANRB).

The existence of MPPs in districts and cities will help workers to receive information on labor social insurance, register as members and file a claim, he said. points out.

Earlier, Amin noted that the government is fully responsible for providing quality public services to the people throughout their lives.

“The birth certificate, basic health service, education, taxes and even the death certificate should be accessible to the public in a convenient and simple way,” he said.

The government aims to fully complete construction of the MPP across Indonesia by 2024.

“In addition to the qualitative objective, the quality of MPPs should also not be overlooked. The effectiveness and readiness of already operational MPPs must continue to be assessed in order to function as digital MPPs”, a- he points out.

Mahfud MD noted that the civil service, thanks to the MPP, has improved since the adoption of the policy in Indonesia in 2017.

Initially, four MPPs served as pilot projects in Jakarta, Batam (Riau Islands), Surabaya and Banyuwangi (East Java). Currently, 59 MPPs were operational until June 2022.

“Some 11 provinces still do not have MPPs, and 449 districts or cities do not yet have MPPs,” he said.
