VALDOSTA – South Georgia Medical Center has announced that Dr. Ana Margarita Hernandez Silen, MD, in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is one of its new medical staff.

Hernandez Silen is joining Southern OB / GYN and will see patients in the office and at SGMC, hospital officials said in a statement.

Hernandez Silen received his medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albany Medical Center in Albany. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Hernandez Silen is fluent in Spanish and English and is fluent in French.

Hernandez Silen is married to Joe and together they have three children, Julia, Ema and Jozsi. In her spare time, she said she enjoyed traveling, crafts, cooking and baking.

Childress appointed Director of Food / Nutrition

VALDOSTA – South Georgia Medical Center has appointed Jason Childress as director of food and nutrition.

Childress started with SGMC in early September, hospital officials said in a statement.

Childress graduated from the University of North Dakota with her certifications in food management and food protection.

Childress has been with Morrison Healthcare since February 2010, where he held various regional positions to “apply the standards and core values ​​of the company,” hospital officials said.

Pediatrician joins Southwell Medical Adel

ADEL – Dr. Katie Hudgens, MD, internal physician and pediatrician, recently joined Southwell Medical Adel Primary Care.
