Charismatic Amy, 12, wants to be a performer

Amy is a bright, articulate and charismatic girl of Caucasian descent who is extremely perceptive. She also understands the difficulties of others. Amy gets along well with other children and enjoys spending time playing with her peers. She also loves video games and Roblox and loves drinking tea. When she grows up, she hopes to become a singer and dancer. Amy is doing well in a public school, where she receives extra support. Amy’s greatest wish is to be part of a family that says “I love you”.

Legally released for adoption, Amy would bring joy to a loving and cohesive family. Her social worker is looking for a home for her with two parents and either no other children at home or children older than Amy. She will do best in a supportive family that can provide her with structure and consistency. Amy’s social worker believes it would be ideal for Amy to be matched with a Massachusetts family. If the family is not in Massachusetts, they should be able to facilitate visits between Amy and her older brother and younger sister.

Can I adopt?

If you’re at least 18 years old, have a stable source of income, and have room in your heart, you may be the perfect match for adopting an expectant child. Adoptive parents can be single, married or in a couple; experienced or not; tenants or owners; LGBTQ+ singles and couples. As an adoptive parent, you will not have to pay any fees; Foster adoption is completely free in Massachusetts.

The process of adopting a foster child includes training, interviews, and home visits to determine if adoption is right for you. These steps will help you pair up with a child or group of siblings that your family will fit in well with.

To learn more about foster adoption, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange at 617-964-6273 or go to Start the process today and give an expectant child a permanent place to call home.
