WOODSTOCK – A brunch program, “Growing the Garden You’ll Love,” will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 10 at The Inn at Woodstock Hill, 94 Plaine Hill Road.

The cost to attend is $21. The program will feature Lanette Lepper of Armstrong Acres and speaker Shelley Dostie of Ruskin, Florida.

Reservations are required by June 3 by emailing [email protected] or calling Janet at 860-455-7671. Reservations and cancellations are essential. A limited number of places are available.

KILLINGLY-WILLIMANTIC – Fight hunger in Killingly and Willimantic with a simple purchase of a floral bouquet. Access Community Action Agency has been selected by management of local Stop & Shop stores as a Hunger Beneficiary Organization under the Stop & Shop Bloomin’ 4 Good program for the month of June at both Stop and Shop locations in Killingly and Willimantic .

Every $10.99 Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet with the red circle sticker sold supports a local hunger relief organization at the Stop & Shop it was purchased from.

As part of this ongoing program, each month, in each Stop & Shop store, a different local hunger organization is selected to benefit from the sale of the Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet. Access was selected as the June beneficiary by local store management at Stop & Shop at 1094 Killingly Commons Drive, Killingly and Stop & Shop at 1391 Main St., Willimantic.

Access will receive a $1 donation for every $10.99 Bloomin’ 4 Good bouquet purchased at these two Stop & Shop stores in June. All funds raised will go directly to Access Food Pantries located in Willimantic and Danielson and help families in need this year.

The Access Community Action Agency is designated by the federal and state governments as the anti-poverty agency for northeast Connecticut. Access provides food, affordable housing, employment readiness services, and other pathways to economic self-sufficiency for families and vulnerable individuals with limited incomes across the region.
