DC Udhampur has ordered revenue officers to remain present for smooth delivery of public services

UDHAMPUR, 08 FEBRUARY: To discuss the progress of Abadi Village Survey and Mapping in the village area under the SVAMITVA program and other issues related to the revenue file, the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib chaired a meeting of Revenue Department field officers and officials today here at the Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

At the start, Incharge Tehsildar Udhampur, Amit Manhas gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on SVAMITVA and digitization of land records. ACR Udhampur, Viqar Ahmed Giri also gave a presentation on Land Revenue Laws and Rules.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Revenue Officers and the Patwaries to maintain proper land records and keep them ready for surprise inspection by the teams formed for this purpose.

The DC has ordered Patwaries to remain present in their Patwar halqas on Mondays and Thursdays for the smooth delivery of public services. She also insisted on the recovery of encroached state lands to be used for the construction of projects of public importance or bio Fenced.

The DC also shed some light on SVAMITVA and stressed that it is a time-limited mission for which the groundwork must be done with care and caution in order to complete the objective within the given time frame. .

All Naib Tehsildars, GQs, Patwaries of tehsil Udhampur were present at the meeting.
