Howard County Manager Calvin Ball has announced the appointment of Anju Bennett as the Human Resources Office Administrator, effective September 1, 2021.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Director Calvin Ball today announced the appointment of Anju Bennett as the Office of Human Resources Administrator, effective September 1, 2021. Bennett is currently the Director of Human Resources Corporate Policy and Operations Management for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC.)
During our extensive research process, Anju shared her belief that responsive and innovative governance is essential to the continued success of every resident and visitor to our county. Her professional background, her experience, her skills, her personal history and her involvement in the community make her the ideal candidate to take our Human Resources Office to a new level.
As the daughter of parents born in India, my family and I immigrated to the United States when I was only four years old. As one of three children, all born overseas, I learned firsthand the importance of high quality and efficient government, public services and strong communities. I have had the benefit of living overseas and in many parts of Maryland. However, I chose to raise my family in Howard County for its progressive initiatives, strong commitment, and forward-looking community building.
