JEFFERSON PARISH AND ATMOS ENERGY PARTNER
TO HELP RESIDENTS WITH NATURAL GAS BILLS

JEFFERSON, THEThe Jefferson Community Action Programs Department (JeffCAP) and ATMOS Energy have partnered to help residents of Jefferson Parish pay their natural gas bills during the Share the Warmth Blitz.

“JeffCAP recently received $100,000 from ATMOS Energy to help residents of Jefferson Parish with their natural gas bills,” said JeffCAP Director Christi Langoni. “We are grateful to ATMOS for their generosity and honored to be able to offer this assistance to our residents during difficult economic times.”

Financing is available for those who have already been disconnected or are struggling to pay their natural gas bills, overdue debts, deposits and service charges. Residents of Jefferson Parish will receive assistance on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are no income guidelines. Housing for seniors is under construction.

Residents can apply in person on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Johnny Jacobs Playground (5851 5e St., Marrero, LA 70072) or Friday, August 19, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Delta Playground (8301 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA 70003).

See below for a list of program guidelines and restrictions:

  1. Current Louisiana driver’s license, photo ID, or Louisiana state passport
  2. Must be an ATMOS residential customer and the bill must be in the name of the applicant or a household member
  3. Must bring a copy of your last bill and/or account number
  4. Must not have received three Hope Sharing Pledges in the past year
