East Bay Family Health Care will offer a COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday, August 14, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, at 6 John H. Chafee Blvd. to anyone 12 years of age and over who wishes to be vaccinated. Registration is recommended, but walk-in tours will also be accepted. To celebrate the week at East Bay National Health Center Family Health Care, a division of the East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP), helps parents prepare their children for school by distributing backpacks and school supplies at an upcoming community event. The drive-through backpack distribution event is open to all youth 18 and under and will also take place on Saturday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.
People can drive or walk to collect their free backpack and school supplies. No registration necessary. Backpacks and school supplies are provided by Back to School Celebration RI, which has coordinated the event statewide for over 20 years.
